Studio Performance
Making a record is very different from performing live, and it can be difficult to gauge how your performance is coming across without an audience. These days, many solo artists and bands go into the studio without a producer, or they rely heavily on the engineer to guide them. I assist “self-producing” acts by providing coaching and consulting before, during and after the recording sessions.
Studio session preparation – cut your costs and maximize your efforts by polishing your material and making a game plan before you ever walk into the studio
Studio performing technique – understand the studio microphone, work comfortably with playback, and develop a sense of how your individual tracks will fit in the assembled song
In-studio coaching – receive the benefit of my years as a studio producer as I coach you through your recording sessions
Album sequencing – fashion your record into a complete and fulfilling journey for the listener by designing the placement of the tracks
